Rc adventures & projects in the mojave desert
Known for its majestic beauty and harsh landscapes, the Mojave desert covers much of the southwest. Offering snow and freezing cold temperatures in the winter, and then soaring above 110 Fahrenheit in the summer, the Mojave Desert has impressive diversity.

With this landscape at close hand, it's a perfect area to explore with various RC platforms. On this site I research the performance of rock crawlers, desert buggies, wheels and tires, and other related accessories.

My goal is to provide unique information useful to curious RC enthusiasts looking to learn more about particular products before buying them.
I believe that the more we can learn about the technical side of the RC world, the more we can pick the right parts for our needs and fully enjoy our time "behind the wheel."
The racing side of the RC world has greatly and directly increased the overall quality of the products, as well as influencing what manufacturers offer in their product line, but racing can also be very intimidating in both the learning curve and the substantial investment in equipment.
I appreciate what racing world has done for this hobby, but I want to focus on the casual / recreational side, and I'll start by saying it's OK to purchase an RTR.
The only way to grow this hobby is to make it accessible and affordable, and from these ranks of enthusiasts the racers will emerge, but that's not the end goal. Ideally this hobby is fun and relaxing, as well as entertaining and education.
I do appreciate everyone's time and interest, and I do hope you enjoy the content on this website.

What you will not find are the ubiquitous cut-n-paste descriptions passed off as "reviews" on this website.
Few things frustrate me more than trying to research an item, and finding that nearly every website simply uses the very same description from the manufacturer.
From the manufacturer's point of view this is probably not so bad; they have complete control over the message and content, but for a consumer, this is a great disservice.
It's also lazy and doesn't count as any form of technical writing or journalism. Basically it's a form of click-bait for you to spend time on their website and learn nothing new.
If there is one thing that I would like to accomplish, that is to share with you information that cannot be found anywhere else on the internet. I want to have you interested in this website because the information here is a different look at products which not leveraged or biased to support any manufacturer or distribution group.
